8-Hour Annual In-Service Training

If you’re a licensed security guard in New York State, this course is required every year to maintain your certification. It builds on your training to keep you current and compliant.

Overview

This 8-hour training must be completed within 12 months of finishing the 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Course, and once every year thereafter. The course reinforces and updates the key duties and responsibilities of security professionals.

What You'll Learn

Course content includes legal powers and limitations, emergency response, communication and public relations, ethics and conduct, and access control—all framed with the latest best practices.

State Requirement

This course is mandated by New York State General Business Law Article 7-A, Section 89-n. Completion is required annually to maintain active security guard registration status

Schedule & Location

All training is conducted in person at our Rochester facility. Class schedules vary.
